FAZ com as tuas mãos” (Do It With Your Hands) is a hands-on furniture-making initiative led by designer Mariana Costa e Silva. The project focuses on empowering people to build functional furniture using accessible tools, local or reclaimed materials, and simple designs. Workshops are offered regularly to adults, children, and in community settings. Participants create items like stools, benches, tables, kids’ chairs, and playground pieces. The emphasis is on sustainability, low-carbon footprint, and making design accessible. All you need is a minimal workspace, basic tools (drill, hammer, saw, screwdrivers), and creativity.
